πŸ“‹ Registration Checklist πŸ“‹

Please ensure all required steps outlined by the Raiders Hockey Club and Hockey Calgary are completed before starting your online registration. Registrations cannot be finalized or approved until all requirements are complete.

1. The Shift Forward (or Respect in Sport) Parent Certification

  • What is it? This is a mandatory online course designed to promote a positive hockey environment. At least one parent or guardian per household must hold an active certificate.
  • Action Required: The "Shift Forward" program is replacing "Respect in Sport".  If you are new to minor hockey, you must complete the course online. If you have already taken it, ensure your previous certification is still valid, and that your newly registered child is properly linked to your profile in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR).
  • The Shift Forward program replaces the Respect in Sport (RIS) program and is not an additional requirement.
  • For more information, visit the SHIFT FORWARD page.

Beginning with the 2026–27 season, this program will apply to all new Coaches, Rostered Team Officials, Volunteers, and Parents/Guardians. As part of a multi-year transition, any education previously completed through platforms such as Respect in Sport (RIS) will continue to be recognized through the end of the 2027–28 season or until RIS certificate expires.

**Note: Missing or unlinked certifications may prevent your registration from being completed.**
